About

Andrea Parsons graduated with a distinction from The College of Garden Design (where she studied under Robin Williams and Lucy Huntingdon) and set up her own garden design company in 1989. Shortly after going out on her own Andrea entered and won a competition to design a small garden for Bradstone at The Chelsea Flower Show. Within a few years she was back at Chelsea again, this time designing a show garden for Help The Aged, when in 1993 her proposal was selected from a shortlist of five. She went on to design the charity’s garden for four consecutive years, winning a Silver Gilt medal on each occasion.

In the past 30 years or Andrea has designed a wide range of gardens, amassing along the way a wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge. Each and every garden presents its own challenges. She enjoys finding solutions to them all, be they large or small, grand or modest.

In addition to being a garden designer Andrea is also an artist and illustrator. She undertakes private commissions – in particular creating personalised collages to celebrate events or family stories – and is also an experienced illustrator of gardens and related subject matter.

Andrea is a full member of The Society of Garden Designers.
